It is very accurate to the particular scene but one thing that holds it back is the price. When LEGO first revealed the LEGO Jurassic Park Triceratops Research (75959), I actually laughed as I didn’t think LEGO would make such a set. There is also a brown frog in the set which I assume is a reference to the frog DNA used for the dinosaurs. A shovel is included but I don’t remember seeing it in the movie. It is minifigure scale so you can recreate the scene. The other part of the build is the Triceratops poop in which Malcolm calls famously says, “that is one big pile of sh*t.” In the scene, Ellie digs through it looking for traces of West Indian lilac berries which she couldn’t find in movie but a couple are included in the set. There’s enough room inside to fit four minifigures. Inside the Explorer, you have a stickered slope brick with the interative CD-ROM that Lex was so interested in when they started the trip. The back of the vehicle has a sticker for the licensed Ford Explorer XLT logos. The hubcaps on the wheels are printed 2×2 tiles. Towards the back, you have stickers of the 04 next to the rear lights. The sides of the Explorer has a larger JP logo along with the T-Rex skeleton. The hood has a sticker for the Jurassic Park logo with some animal printing. The color scheme is spot on with the lime green and yellow with the dark red top. The main part of the build is the Ford Explorer 04. The head is on a click/ball joint combination so it can move in a wide range of motion. The set does come with a larger Triceratops that comes with a molded body, legs, and head. He has a more tan flesh for his skin color and his double-sided head shows him with a smile on one side and a confused look on the other. Ian Malcolm has on the iconic black shirt and pants. Her double-sided head shows her with a smirk on one side and a disgusted expression on the other. The color of the flesh on the legs are very close to the color of the pants. It’s a little hard to tell but she has on some khaki shorts. Ellie has on a neon pink shirt while in the movie, she has a more muted pink shirt. There are only two minifigures inn the set, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm. The set has 281 pieces and retails for $49.99.
